Security at Los Angeles International Airport
Los Angeles Internation Airport has its own police force, the airport police, whose various sections help maintain security both inside and outside the airport. The LAX Airport Authority has issued a set of security tips for travelers, which includes these below:
- If locking your hold luggage, use a TSA.gov approved lock
- Leave any gifts and parcels unwrapped so that security can inspect them
- Keep a close eye on your personal belongings and never agree to watch a stanger's items
- Hold luggage security checks can damage undeveloped film, so carry this in your hand luggage
