London Stansted Airport Security

Introduction

Increased security measures are in operation in UK airports, though since 2001 check-in and flight delays have not increased significantly. Your airline can advise on check-in deadlines, but you should aim to arrive at least three hours before departure for international flights, two hours for European flights and an hour for UK and Ireland flights.

Lost & Found

The Lost and Found service at the London Stansted Airport (STN) is operated by a company named OCS. Lost property will be held for a period of three months, after which they will be sold off for charity or disposed off. For more information, please call 44 (0) 1279 663 181.

For missing baggage, travellers should contact their respective airlines.

Help for stranded travellers

Travellers in need of assistance should call upon the Information Desk located in the international arrivals area. The Information Desk is opened from 05:30 to 01:30 hours.
