Terminals

The Gerald R Ford International Airport terminal consists of two levels and has 11 gates for flight arrival and departure. Level one gives way to two concourses A and B. The terminal area of Gerald R Ford International Airport provides many traveler facilities such as a variety of restaurants, food vending machines, restrooms, courtesy telephones, family assist restrooms, flight insurance, game room, hotel information, children's play area, lost and found counter, mail services, self service luggage carts, Automated Teller Machines, money change machines and currency exchange.

The terminal of Gerald R Ford International Airport is served by 12 major airlines, flying to over 14 major destinations within the United States of America and other international capital cities. The total of passengers using the Gerald R Ford International Airport for their traveling convenience exceeds two million, annually.

Cargo facilities at the Gerald R Ford International Airport allow over 200,000 pounds of cargo to be transferred daily to various locations throughout the world.


Shopping

Gift Shops

Gift items, souvenirs are available for purchase in the food courts on Concourses A and B, as well as in the Gift Shop in the terminal building's Grand Hall.

Restaurants and Bars

Many restaurants such as Starbucks, Cinnabon, Fresh Attractions, Home Turf Sports Grill, Hot Dog City, Pizza Hut Express, PS AirPub and TCBY Treats are located in the food court of the terminal building's Grand Hall, next to the food court and in the food courts of the two concourses.


Business Services

Internet Access

Two complimentary Business Centers located in the terminal building's Grand Hall provides connections for dial-up modem access.

Post

U.S. Post Office is located in the baggage claim area of level one of the airport terminal as well as mail drops for Federal Express and UPS.


Currency Exchange and ATMs

Foreign Exchange Desks

The new Fifth Third Bank located at the corner of Patterson & 44th has the capability to exchange currency. Call +1 616 954 1050 for more information.

Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs)

ATMs are located in the Grand Hall near the entrance to Concourse B. ATMs are provided by Comerica, Fifth Third and Huntington Banks


Extra Traveler Facilities

Tourist Information

The Visitor Information Desk is located in the baggage claim area. Maps, brochures and other helpful resources are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and the Visitor Information Desk is staffed from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm seven days a week. This information desk functions as collaboration between Gerald R. Ford International Airport and the Grand Rapids / Kent County Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The hotel / motel information phone board is located in the baggage claim area near the Visitor Information Center.

The airport observation deck, located on the mezzanine level of the terminal building, overlooks GFIA's 10,000 square foot main East / West runway and 8500 square foot North / South runway. It is a perfect place watch the action of the airport and its passengers.

The viewing area, situated on Kraft Avenue north of 52nd Street, is the ideal place to watch aircraft take off and land at Gerald R. Ford International.

Elevators

An elevator is available on the north side of the main hall for those who would like to visit the observation deck on our mezzanine level.

Telephone Booths

TDD hearing impaired telephone devices are available in Concourses A and B and the main hall at the top of the ramp to Concourse A.

Wheelchairs

Individual airlines have wheelchairs available and airline personnel will be happy to assist passengers with boarding the aircraft.

Shuttle Services

Complimentary airport parking shuttles, which service the long term and express shuttle lots, are wheelchair lift equipped.

Further Assistance

Gerald R. Ford International's passenger terminal design allows wheelchair users and other physically impaired passengers to move from the terminal curbside to the aircraft gates without the need to use elevators.
