The terminal at the Bahrain International Airport consists of a 50,000 square feet area and was renovated in the mid-nineties to accommodate the growing passenger numbers. Traveller services at the Bahrain International Airport terminal complex include restaurants, restrooms, VIP lounge, business centre, currency exchange, banking services, travel agents, baby care facility, flight enquiry, mail service and duty free shopping.
International airlines from many countries in the world serve at the terminal of the Bahrain International Airport. These airlines include Air Arabia, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, GulfAir and KLM. A total of 25 airlines operate through the 17 gates at the terminal of the Bahrain International Airport.
The Bahrain International Airport terminal contains booths for hiring taxis, rental cars and other forms of ground transportation. Ticketing counters and baggage claim centres are also located in the ground floor of the terminal building. Parking for passenger vehicles is available directly opposite to the terminal area.
