Sky Handling Partner commenced operations in Dublin Airport on the 3rd December 2000 as CityJet Handling Ltd. CityJet Handling was the first Irish Registered airport services provider to be granted a Third Party Handling Licence at Irish Airports. In 2001, CityJet Handling was acquired by "Groupe Crit" and was renamed Sky Handling Partner. Sky Handling Partner grew in the intervening years in Dublin and built a very successful relationship with our customer airlines that chose Sky Handling Partner as their preferred ground handling partner.                                                    

As part of the increase in customer airlines and our commitment to expansion, Sky Handling Partner opened its first base outside of Dublin in Shannon Airport in September 2004. Shannon continues to be an important part of Sky Handling Partner, with a range of services we provide our customers from horse charters, passenger handling, cargo flights and business aviation. Our Shannon base will be celebrating 10 years of successful operations in 2014.

In October 2011 our first base outside of Ireland was opened. Sky Handling Partner acquisitioned ARL and our first base in the UK was opened in London City Airport. With the expansion we welcomed an extra 100 staff into our group and had a 55% share of the third party passenger handling in London City Airport. This expansion was further developed when in May 2013, Sky Handling Partner acquisitioned Aria and again we welcomed 150 staff into our group and expanded to 100% of the third party passenger handling at London City Airport.
