Titan Airways is a British charter airline based at London Stansted Airport. It operates contract and ad hoc passenger and freight charters throughout the world and short notice wet-lease charters for scheduled airlines.
The airline started operations on 1 February 1988. It was subject to a management buy-out on February 1992 and is now owned by Gene Willson (67%) and venture capital firm 3i (33%).
