PrivatAir is an airline headquartered at Geneva International Airport, Switzerland. PrivatAir specializes in scheduled and charter flights using mid-sized, long-range, all premium class jets. One of the services it provides, is operating exclusively business class flights which include transatlantic operations for Lufthansa, Swiss International Air Lines, KLM and, until March 2008, corporate shuttles for Airbus. It has main bases at Geneva Cointrin International Airport (GVA), Frankfurt Airport (FRA), Munich International Airport (MUC), Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) and Zürich Airport (ZRH).
The airline was established and began operations in 1977 under the name of Petrolair S. A. It received its Swiss air operators certificate in June 1995. In August 2000, PrivatAir acquired Flight Services Group in the USA, which was sold to Gama Aviation in February 2008.
