Antonov An-225

The Antonov An-225 is a six-engined ultra heavy cargo freighter with a payload of 250 tonnes (551155 lb) developed by the soviet design bureau OKB Antonov (today Antonov ASTC, Ukraine).

The An-225 is a development of the An-124, it was designed for the transportation of the Russian Space Shuttle Buran. 2 An-225 had been produced so far but only one was completed and operational. The An-225 is the world's largest aircraft. Cargo compartment: Length: 43,3 m (142ft); Width: 6,4 m (21ft); Height: 4,4 m (14ft 5in); Volume: 1220 m³ (43084 cft)
